If you’re looking to begin a yoga practice, the first step is to figure out what is most meaningful to you. You (or your Dr.) may be seeking a way for you to gain strength and stamina, to reduce stress, to become more peaceful, to deal with chronic pain or you may have some other goal in mind. At The Yoga Groove, New Beginners are very important people and the “Beginner’s Mind” is valued and celebrated. New Beginner classes are Gentle and intentionally slower paced to take you step-by-step through the FUN-damentals. By focusing on alignment and developing solid mechanics of physical poses from the start, you can progress gradually and safely into a sequenced flow. Classes review the basic yoga principles needed to improve well-being through body, breath and mind. You will explore and discover the benefits of practicing with an experienced teacher in a supportive atmosphere where laughter is encouraged and every question is important. Sharon employs props and modifies poses to make yoga safe, do-able and enjoyable for people of any age and wellness level. Our New Beginner 3 Week GROUP Series is offered quarterly in the Yoga Groove studio and also via LIVE online classes or you may prefer and need only a few private sessions. Whether you are a student new to yoga, or one with some experience but wanting more guidance for your personal practice, Sharon will help you to select and adjust your poses for an optimal fit.
